Your donation to the Animal Welfare Foundation of Canada goes directly to support our animal welfare programs. All AWFC Trustees are volunteers, allowing us to keep our administrative costs to a minimum. In addition, the Foundation does not receive funding from any level of government, which means we are not vulnerable to political pressure in the work we undertake and fund.

The activities of the Animal Welfare Foundation of Canada cover a wide range of issues and species of animals (see the Works and Achievements section of our website). We are also interested in your ideas about how we can make this a better world for the animals with whom we share our lives. We provide a wide range of options to donors who wish to make donations or bequests to support animal welfare.

Donors can make an unrestricted contribution to support the AWFC's work, can stipulate how their gift is to be allocated, for instance, to the support of wildlife rehabilitation centers or animal shelters. Donors who wish to see research conducted in a particular area, for instance to improve the welfare of saddle horses, can stipulate this as a condition for their donation. Or, if you want to make a difference to future generations, we can direct funds to the training and education of university students studying animal welfare.

If you have a special concern and want to see something concrete done about it, please contact us for more information about how to ensure your donation makes a difference.
